Deborah E. Johnson is a seasoned attorney from the Dallas area. Post law school, Ms. Johnson worked 8 years in federal service at the U.S. Small Business Administration. She now practices law from the Law Office of Deborah E. Johnson, Esq. Her practice includes a focus on entertainment and sports law issues, dealing heavily in transactional law, contract review and negotiation, and artist representation.
Born a Texas girl, Ms. Johnson attended Texas Tech University, majoring in dance and psychology. Years later, Ms. Johnson forewent her Bachelor in Dance & Performing Arts, for a degree in Psychology with the hopes of attending law school. Completely inspired by attorneys in her path, she achieved that dream in 2005 when she graduated from Texas A&M School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas, as well as the United States Supreme Court.
Ms. Johnson’s experience includes commercial litigation, construction law, compliance
specialist, real estate law, including contract review & negotiations, as well as Attorney Ad Litem for children removed from their home by Child Protective Services. Ms. Johnson additionally serves as In-House Counsel for her husband’s company, Nechemya Construction Solutions, LLC.
Her most recent achievement was being hired at Tarrant County College to teach
Texas Government. It has been a dream come true to teach on the college level and educate the next generation. In 2014, Ms. Johnson also served the Texas Education Agency as an Independent Hearing Examiner, which is similar to an ALJ.
Ms. Johnson is a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She is active in her church,
Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas, and plans to attend a mission trip in the next year. In her former church, Ms. Johnson served 3 years on the platform worship team and led the College & Career class alongside her husband.
Ms. Johnson currently represents vocal artists, musicians, producers, actors/actresses,
models, authors, public figures, celebrities, professional athletes, reality TV personalities, and others in the entertainment and sports industries who are at varied levels in their careers.
